In a shocking incident of matrimonial fraud from Punjab, a prominent local leader fell victim to an elaborate deceit scheme. The case has raised serious concerns regarding fake identities and planned frauds targeting unsuspecting individuals under the garb of marriage.
The Elaborate Deceit and Fake Identity
According to the police complaints filed by the victim, the marriage took place after the bride, identified as Manvinder Kaur, and her family presented her as an unmarried woman holding a prestigious PCS (Provincial Civil Services) officer position. Trusting their claims, the wedding was solemnized.
However, doubts soon arose regarding her background. Upon personal verification and checking facts, the groom discovered that the bride was neither an officer nor unmarried; instead, she was previously divorced and had a child from her previous marriage, facts that were intentionally concealed from the family.
Police Action and Investigation
Authorities have registered a case against six individuals, including the bride, her relatives, and others involved in orchestrating the fraudulent wedding using manipulated documents like PAN and Aadhaar cards. Police are currently investigating the matter further to arrest the absconding suspects and recover missing valuables.
