Panchayati Raj Elections Heat Up in Rajasthan
Political activity in rural Rajasthan has reached a fever pitch with the announcement of local body elections. Aimed at strengthening grassroots democracy and empowering local administration, the election commission has officially declared the polling dates for Churu district. With this announcement, political fervor is on the rise, and potential candidates have ramped up their grassroots campaigns.

Third Phase Election Schedule and Key Panchayat Samitis
According to the announced schedule, the third phase of Panchayati Raj elections in Churu will cover 7 key panchayat samitis. These include Bidasar, Rajgarh, Chandgothi, Sidhmukh, Bhanipura, Sardarshahar, and Sardarshahar East. Polling for district council and panchayat samiti members will take place on November 4.
Voting for panch and sarpanch positions is scheduled for November 6, with vote counting and results declaration taking place on the same day. The public notification for the third phase will be issued on October 19, and the nomination process will run through October 23.
Fourth Phase Schedule and Conclusion
The fourth and final phase will cover 6 panchayat samitis, including Sujangarh, Taragarh East, Taragarh West, Bhaleri, Ratangarh, Churu, and Churu North. Voting for district council and panchayat samiti members in these regions will be held on November 14, while panch and sarpanch voting will take place on November 16, followed by immediate counting.
District authorities have made elaborate security and logistical arrangements to ensure smooth polling across all rural pockets, marking a crucial step forward in rural development.
