MP to be Completely Drug-Free by 2029: CM Mohan Yadav Vows to Crush Entire Crime Syndicate

A Decisive War Against Crime and Drug Syndicates in Madhya Pradesh

In a major push to strengthen the state's internal security and law enforcement, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has issued a stern warning against illegal drug syndicates operating within the region. The state government has launched an uncompromising campaign to dismantle the entire network of narcotics, cybercrime, illegal weapons, and organized crime.

During a high-level review meeting in Bhopal with senior officials from the Union Home Ministry, the Chief Minister emphasized that law enforcement agencies must go beyond minor peddlers and strike at the roots of these criminal cartels. Protecting the younger generation from the menace of substance abuse remains a top priority for the state administration.

This high-level coordination reflects a collaborative approach between central and state authorities, leveraging modern technology and intelligence sharing to curb criminal activities effectively. The Chief Minister noted that strict adherence to the rule of law will ensure public safety and restore absolute deterrence among anti-social elements.

The Ambitious Goal of a Completely Drug-Free State by 2029

Inspired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah's vision of a drug-free nation, the Madhya Pradesh government has set a firm target to rid the state of narcotics entirely by the year 2029. To achieve this, border surveillance has been tightened, and intelligence networks have been activated across all districts.

Police are actively cracking down on multiple fronts, targeting cyber offenses and illegal arms suppliers alongside drug traffickers. Recent operations have successfully dismantled several major interstate smuggling rings. Furthermore, the government is engaging community leaders, educational institutions, and social organizations to turn this enforcement drive into a widespread public movement.

"In alignment with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for a drug-free India, Madhya Pradesh has initiated a decisive battle against narcotics. The state government and police are continuously striking at the networks of drugs, cybercrime, illegal arms, and organized crime to make Madhya Pradesh completely drug-free." — Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh

Eradicating Naxalism and Paving the Way for Regional Development

The review meeting also addressed other critical aspects of internal security, including the successful containment of left-wing extremism. Acknowledging the decisive leadership of the central government, the Chief Minister highlighted that the once-formidable Naxal menace has been largely neutralized within a strict timeframe.

With these areas now liberated from extremist influence, a comprehensive development blueprint worth Rs 400 crore has been rolled out. This financial allocation will fund critical infrastructure projects, including roads, electricity, healthcare, and educational facilities, ensuring long-term prosperity for marginalized communities.

Empowering the Youth and Building a Model State

To nurture the potential of the state's younger population, the Madhya Pradesh government has declared the year 2027 as the 'Year of Youth'. Initiatives focusing on skill development, modern education through Sandipani schools, and infrastructural upgrades like sports complexes in every assembly constituency are currently underway.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav concluded by expressing confidence that with sustained central guidance and robust administrative execution, Madhya Pradesh is well on its way to becoming a model state, playing a pivotal role in achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047.
