Sixth Day of Dashalakshana Mahaparv Celebrated with Devotion
The auspicious festival of Dashalakshana Mahaparv, part of the Paryushan festival for the Jain community, is being celebrated with great enthusiasm. On the sixth day of the festival, devotees worshipped 'Uttam Samyam Dharma' (Supreme Self-Restraint) with utmost devotion and religious rituals. Temples witnessed a large gathering of followers participating in collective prayers and grand aartis.
The day began early in the morning with ritualistic abhishek of the deities, followed by special prayers across the prominent Jain temples. The atmosphere was filled with spiritual energy and devotional chants as community members immersed themselves in religious practices.
Muni Niyog Sagar Emphasizes Self-Control
Amidst the religious observances, spiritual discourses provided deep insights into living a righteous life. Under the guidance of Acharya Gneyasagar and Muni Niyog Sagar Maharaj, devotees learned about the core values of self-restraint. Muni Niyog Sagar stated in his sermon that self-restraint is the true nature of the soul and without it, attaining right knowledge and right perception is impossible.
He further elaborated that discipline and mental control are essential to overcome inner flaws like anger, ego, and greed. His words deeply resonated with the attendees, inspiring them to incorporate patience and restraint into their daily lives.

Special Rituals at Upper Bazar Jain Temple
At the prominent Upper Bazar Jain temple in Ranchi, special collective prayers were held for Sugandha Dashami Vrat. Several families actively participated in the rituals and performed Shantidhara. Prominent families including those of Ashok Kumar, Akash Kumar, and Arihant Sethi took part in the sacred ceremonies.
Similarly, at Vasupujya Jinalay, families led by Nirmal Kumar, Nilesh Kumar Sogani, and others performed holy rituals. The collective prayers created an atmosphere of peace and harmony among the devotees.
Cultural Events and Religious Quiz Competitions
Media incharge Rakesh Kashliwal informed that in the afternoon session, devotees offered incense to the 24 Tirthankaras, symbolizing the destruction of eight types of karmas. As evening descended, the Jain Mahila Jagriti committee organized various cultural events, including grand aartis, dandia, and a religious quiz competition.
Looking ahead, the seventh day of Dashalakshana Mahaparv will focus on the worship of 'Uttam Tap Dharma' (Supreme Penance), where followers will observe fasts and spiritual austerity to purify their souls.
