Guwahati Nightclub Horror: Woman Stripped and Beaten by Bouncers, Video Sparks Outrage

A horrifying incident has emerged from Guwahati, the capital of Assam, where a woman was subjected to brutal assault and dehumanizing treatment inside a popular upscale nightclub. The shocking episode, which took place inside a lounge known as 'The Locals Cafe and Lounge' located in the bustling Khanapara area, has sent shockwaves across the region and triggered nationwide outrage over women's safety in nightlife venues.

According to initial reports and disturbing video clips that have gone viral across various social media platforms, male and female bouncers of the club were allegedly involved in the ruthless physical abuse of an unidentified woman. The footage captures the victim lying on the floor in a helpless and stripped condition, while individuals identified as security staff launch physical kicks and blows at her. Another segment of the video shows someone attempting to help the victim before a car blocks the view.

Local authorities and police officials have swiftly jumped into action following the widespread circulation of the video. East Guwahati Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Tavu Ram Pegu stated that although the club was officially closed on Friday due to Gandhi Jayanti, law enforcement authorities have already detained the club manager for questioning. Police are currently scanning internal records, checking the exact sequence of events, and trying to establish the identity of the victim whose whereabouts and condition remain unverified.

Journalists and media teams who rushed to the spot following the incident found the establishment locked down with its lights turned off, and management members completely untraceable. Civil society groups and citizens have strongly condemned the brutality, demanding immediate cancellation of the club's license and severe legal action against all perpetrators involved in this shameful act of violence.
