Security has been significantly tightened in the national capital as Delhi Police denied permission for a proposed protest and parliament march against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. In a video shared by news agency PTI, DCP Sachin Sharma can be seen addressing the security arrangements at Jantar Mantar.
According to reports, no permission has been granted for any type of protest or march in the area. In light of potential security concerns and to maintain public order, Section 163 has been imposed in New Delhi. Police forces have been deployed in large numbers around Jantar Mantar and critical junctions to prevent unauthorized gatherings.
The administrative action follows widespread discussions on digital platforms regarding the proposed demonstrations. While security officials maintain that preventive measures are essential to uphold peace, the situation continues to draw significant public and media attention.
