Chilling Incident Shakes Uttar Pradesh Capital
A deeply disturbing and shocking crime has come to light from the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, leaving residents and authorities stunned. In the Naka Hindola police station area, a teenager allegedly murdered his own mother following a violent altercation, raising serious concerns about domestic conflicts and mental health challenges.
According to local police reports, the tragic incident took place inside an apartment building located near the Rajendra Nagar crossing. The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Geeta Bhagchandani, whose husband runs a garment business in the nearby Charbagh market. At the time of the incident, the husband was away at his shop, leaving the mother and their teenage son alone in the flat.
Teenager Calls Police Control Room Himself
What makes this case particularly chilling is the aftermath of the crime. Immediately after allegedly assaulting his mother, the 17-year-old boy dialed the police control room himself. Without showing panic, he reportedly informed the operator that he had murdered his mother and asked the police to come and arrest him. Alarmed by the call, senior police officials and local station teams rushed to the spot.
Upon entering the apartment, police officers found the woman's lifeless body lying on the floor with severe head injuries. The accused teenager was present at the scene and was taken into custody without resistance. Authorities recovered a heavy iron wrench from the apartment, which was allegedly used to inflict the fatal blows.
Father Reveals Longstanding Mental Health Struggles
Speaking to investigators and media personnel, the victim's husband, Rakesh Bhagchandani, shed light on their son's troubled medical history. He stated that the boy had been suffering from severe mental health issues for the past five to six years. Despite taking him to prominent medical institutions and psychiatric facilities for treatment, his condition continued to deteriorate over time.
The father explained that due to recurrent aggressive behavior and family tensions, the teenager had been living separately in a rented room for the last four months, though his family continued to cover all his living and educational expenses. On the day of the incident, the boy had visited the home to meet his mother, but an argument escalated rapidly into fatal violence.
