The cricket world is gearing up for another blockbuster series as New Zealand prepares to tour India for a thrilling multi-format assignment. The action begins on October 22 with the first of five T20 international matches, promising high-voltage entertainment for fans worldwide. Ahead of the tour, the New Zealand selection panel has unveiled a balanced 16-member squad blending experienced campaigners with promising new talents.
The visiting side has retained 13 players who featured in their recent World Cup campaign, maintaining core stability. Leading the squad is experienced skipper Mitchell Santner, whose tactical acumen will be vital on spin-friendly Indian pitches. The five-match T20 series kicks off in Christchurch on October 22, followed by the second match at the same venue on October 24. Subsequent matches will be played in Wellington, Auckland, and Hamilton through November 1, preceding a five-match ODI series starting November 4.
