Panchayat Leader's Gun Reel Sparks Outrage and Police Action
In the age of social media, the obsession with creating viral reels and gaining followers often pushes individuals to cross legal and ethical boundaries. A striking example has emerged from Bihar, where a village panchayat leader's video featuring a weapon-like object has taken the internet by storm, inviting strict police scrutiny.
The video features the local panchayat leader grooving to a Bhojpuri song in an action-packed avatar. During the sequence, he is seen brandishing an object that closely resembles a firearm. As the video circulated across various platforms, it caught the attention of local residents and law enforcement authorities, raising serious questions about the conduct of elected public representatives.
Police Swing into Action: FIR Registered
Taking cognizance of the viral video, the local police department initiated an immediate inquiry. According to police officials, after verifying the authenticity of the video and identifying the individual as Panchayat head Jitendra Kumar, a formal First Information Report (FIR) was registered under relevant legal sections.

When questioned about the controversy, the accused leader defended himself by claiming that the object was not a real weapon at all, but rather a children's toy. He stated that there was no malicious intent behind the video shoot.
However, legal experts point out that public display of items mimicking weapons, even if toys, can still create public panic and attract legal consequences under the law. The investigation is ongoing, and further actions will be determined based on forensic findings.
