Major Relief for Rail Passengers Ahead of Festive Season
The Indian Railways has announced a major relief for passengers travelling between major routes ahead of the upcoming festive season. To tackle heavy rush and ensure comfortable journeys during festivals like Diwali, the railways has decided to convert the weekly special train running between Pune and Jaipur via Kota into a permanent regular train.
This transition means the train will no longer operate as a temporary special service but as a regular weekly express. According to railway officials, this will not only make it easier for passengers to get confirmed tickets but also significantly reduce travel expenses, as regular trains have much lower fares compared to special holiday trains.
Schedule and Route Details
According to the North Western Railway, the regular operation of this train will commence in October. The train from Pune's Khadki station will run its first regular trip on October 11, while from Dharampura/Dhar ka Balaji in Jaipur, it will depart on October 12. This service will directly benefit passengers travelling across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
The train will pass through major commercial and transit hubs including Kota, Ratlam, and Surat, providing immense convenience to daily commuters, students, and working professionals travelling on this busy corridor.
Train Composition and Booking
The train will consist of a total of 16 coaches, including 4 general coaches, 6 sleeper coaches, 3 third AC coaches, along with luggage and specially-abled friendly compartments. Officials confirmed that ticket booking for both directions will open very soon through IRCTC and railway reservation counters, urging passengers to book in advance.
