Major leadership shift in Punjab Congress

A massive political storm has erupted in Punjab as the Congress high command takes strict action to curb internal factionalism. According to close sources, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has been asked to step down from his position, triggering widespread speculations across the political landscape.

The friction between the camps led by former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Raja Warring had reached its peak, forcing central leadership to intervene. The party wants to ensure complete alignment and organizational harmony ahead of upcoming electoral challenges in the state.

Raja Warring changes social media bio, calls himself a warrior

Though an official formal announcement is still awaited, Raja Warring dropped a major hint by updating his X (formerly Twitter) handle bio. He replaced 'PPCC President' with 'Former PPCC President', confirming his exit from the top organizational post.

Reacting to the developments, Warring openly acknowledged that factionalism had damaged the party's prospects. Describing himself as a 'warrior', he vowed to continue his political journey without backing down from the ongoing struggles.

Vijay Inder Singla emerges as frontrunner for the top post

As the race for the new state president intensifies, several names are being discussed within party circles, including Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Pargat Singh, and Charanjit Singh Channi. However, Vijay Inder Singla currently leads the race to take over the mantle.

Singla maintained a diplomatic stance, stating that he is a loyal soldier of the party and will wholeheartedly accept any responsibility entrusted to him by the central leadership to strengthen the organization.
