The primary market has witnessed another successful listing as Roopa Screen, a prominent manufacturer of rotary nickel screens, made a grand entry on the stock exchange. The company's initial public offering (IPO) generated tremendous enthusiasm among investors, translating into impressive listing gains on its very first day of trading.
The price band for the IPO was fixed between 60 and 64 rupees per share. Exceeding all market expectations, the shares opened at 121.60 rupees, registering a massive surge of nearly 90 percent over the upper end of the issue price. This extraordinary debut created a wave of excitement among retail investors who had pinned high hopes on the company's strong fundamentals.
Massive Profits for Retail Investors on Day One
For investors participating in SME IPOs, listing day gains are often the most anticipated outcome. Roopa Screen delivered exceptionally well on this front. Investors who were successfully allotted shares in the IPO secured a direct profit of 57.60 rupees per share upon listing.
The company had set a lot size of 2,000 shares, with retail investors required to apply for a minimum of two lots, translating to 4,000 shares. At the upper price band of 64 rupees, the total minimum investment stood at 2,56,000 rupees. With the stock listing at 121.60 rupees, the value of this investment nearly doubled to around 4,86,400 rupees, yielding a remarkable profit of over 2,30,400 rupees right at the opening bell. During intraday trade, the stock even touched a high of 127.68 rupees.

Established in 2013, Roopa Screen operates in the fabric printing sector. The company specializes in manufacturing rotary nickel screens used in rotary screen-printing machines. These nickel screens act as stencils through which printing paste flows to create intricate patterns on fabrics.
In addition to rotary nickel screens, the company trades in nickel cathode, which serves as a vital raw material in the manufacturing process. Its diverse product portfolio includes delta screens, penta screens, standard screens, and nova screens, catering to a wide clientele within the textile industry.
Financial Health and Future Outlook
The company's financial performance reflects consistent growth. Roopa Screen reported a revenue of 51.32 crore rupees, up from 45.63 crore rupees in the previous fiscal year. Net profits also saw a healthy jump, rising from 4.69 crore rupees to 6.48 crore rupees. With state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Sanand, Gujarat, the company successfully supplied its products to over 200 clients across major industrial states in India, cementing its position as a reliable market player.
