According to reports, the incident occurred at platform number one as the Prayagraj Express was beginning to pull out of the station. As the train gathered momentum, the woman attempted to alight from the moving carriage. Her balance gave way, and she slipped straight down onto the tracks between the platform and the moving wheels of the train, sending shockwaves through onlookers.

Seeing the woman trapped beneath the train, railway protection personnel sprang into immediate action. Assistant Sub-Inspector Mahesh Kumar Haritwal of the 2nd Battalion RPSF, along with constables Pravesh Kumar and Basant, didn't waste a single second. They immediately pulled the emergency chain to halt the accelerating train.
Once the train came to a stop, the trio rushed to the spot and carefully extracted the woman from under the bogie. The entire rescue operation was successfully executed within five minutes, highlighting the exceptional readiness and bravery of the security personnel. Officials noted that this rescue was part of the ongoing 'Operation Jeevan Raksha' initiative aimed at saving passenger lives across railway networks.

While the woman was safely rescued and later expressed deep gratitude to the security personnel, the incident serves as a stark reminder. Attempting to board or deboard moving trains is extremely dangerous and strictly prohibited.
