Samajwadi Party Launches PDA Campaign in Kanpur
The Samajwadi Party has intensified its political outreach in Uttar Pradesh by organizing its first PDA (Pichda, Dalit, Alpasankhyak) convention in the Kidwai Nagar assembly constituency of Kanpur. The event served as a major platform for local leaders to highlight pressing public grievances, including rising unemployment, crumbling road infrastructure, and stalled civic projects.
Presided over by city unit president Fazal Mahmud and spearheaded by state secretary Samrath Pal, the conference witnessed significant participation from local residents and party workers. The leadership emphasized that the core objective of the outreach is to unite backward communities, Dalits, and minorities to fight for their constitutional rights and better livelihood opportunities.
Attacking the Administration Over Civic Apathy
Local leaders came down heavily on the civic administration for the pathetic condition of roads and basic amenities in the industrial city. They pointed out that despite tall claims of development, deep potholes and poor drainage systems continue to plague daily life in Kanpur. The leaders asserted that municipal corruption and administrative negligence have brought routine governance to a standstill, leaving common citizens helpless.
Focus on Unemployment and Stalled Healthcare Projects
Addressing the gathering, key speakers strongly criticized government policies regarding youth employment. They rejected casual approaches towards job creation, insisting that educated youth require proper career opportunities rather than impractical advice. Furthermore, the local leadership promised that if voted to power, they would immediately operationalize the long-delayed 100-bed hospital in Kidwai Nagar to ensure accessible healthcare for underprivileged families.
