The excitement surrounding Stree 3, the upcoming installment of India's most successful horror-comedy universe, is reaching new heights. Producer Dinesh Vijan has finally revealed the release timeline for this much-awaited project. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film will require fans to exercise some patience as the makers are in no rush to compromise on quality.
Over the past few years, horror-comedy films have captured the imagination of Indian audiences like never before. Starring acclaimed actors such as Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and Pankaj Tripathi, this franchise has smashed box office records. Speaking at a prominent media event, producer Dinesh Vijan confirmed that Stree 3 will arrive in cinemas in the year 2028. He revealed that the script for the movie has been entirely completed. However, he kept details about the plot tightly under wraps to maintain the element of surprise for the viewers.
Vijan joked that director Amar Kaushik would be upset if he gave away too many spoilers. According to the producer, the beginning and ending of the film will completely shock the audience. The makers are eyeing a major festival release in 2028, such as Independence Day or Christmas, to maximize the film's box office potential.

Before cameras start rolling for Stree 3, director Amar Kaushik is tied up with another massive project. He will direct the upcoming mythological drama film Mahavatar, starring Vicky Kaushal, which chronicles the legend of Lord Parashurama. This epic venture under the Maddock Films banner currently takes precedence.
The producer stated that Amar Kaushik will take charge of Mahavatar towards the end of January. The direction of this large-scale mythological drama is expected to wrap up by June. Immediately following that, by the end of next year, pre-production and shooting schedules for Stree 3 will officially kick off.
