West Bengal Voter List Revision: Left-Out Voters Get Another Chance to Add Names via Form-6

In a major relief to eligible citizens in West Bengal, those who missed out during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 process have been given another opportunity to get their names included in the electoral roll. The office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of West Bengal has issued an official notification stating that eligible voters can now submit applications using Form-6.

ASDD List Uploaded on Official Website

According to the CEO's office, the ASDD (Absentee, Shifted, Dead, and Deleted) voters list prepared during SIR 2026 has been published. This list contains names of voters who were found absent, shifted, deceased, or whose names were removed during verification. The ASDD list is available on the official website of the CEO of West Bengal as well as on the portals of respective District Election Officers.

A press note issued by Additional Chief Electoral Officer Arindam Niyogi stated that the election body is functioning under the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, and as per the directives and strict monitoring of the Election Commission of India (ECI).

How to Apply Using Form-6

The election office clarified that individuals whose names feature in the ASDD list but are otherwise eligible voters can submit Form-6 to restore their names in the voter list. Voters can fill out Form-6 online through the official ECI portals or submit physical applications through their local Booth Level Officers (BLO). This step ensures that genuine voters do not lose their franchise, subject to verification as per prescribed rules.
