Political activities have intensified in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the upcoming assembly session, with the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) adopting an aggressive stance against Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s government. He questioned why the government constantly cites a lack of adequate administrative powers when citizens approach them for fundamental needs like drinking water, electricity poles, school staffing, hospital healthcare, and road repair.
Sharma remarked that a democratically elected government has been in office for nearly two years now, and the public deserves clarity on execution and problem-solving rather than listening to excuses about restricted jurisdiction.
