Responding sharply to the Chief Minister's remarks, Mahajan remarked that a teacher remains a teacher and a disciple remains a disciple, signaling a deeper political rivalry in the hill state.
Harsh Mahajan Slams CM Sukhu During Kyarkoti Visit
BJP MP Harsh Mahajan was recently on a tour of the Kyarkoti area in Shimla district, where he attended an event to flag off an ambulance. Accompanied by former minister Suresh Bhardwaj and district council member Khush Vikram Sen, Mahajan addressed the gathering and launched a scathing attack on the state government. He accused Chief Minister Sukhu of making irresponsible statements without proper thought.
Mahajan asserted that the future holds only darkness for the ruling Congress party, while the BJP is moving toward a bright political horizon. He emphasized that the BJP's policies are crystal clear and the party is fully prepared for upcoming electoral challenges. According to Mahajan, the current state of panchayat elections in Himachal Pradesh clearly reflects the declining popularity of the Congress government.
Rebutting Claims Over Advisor Role and Virbhadra Singh
The political sparring erupted after CM Sukhu recently claimed that whenever Harsh Mahajan served as an advisor to the Congress party, it faced electoral defeats. The Chief Minister had remarked that Mahajan, now advising the BJP, brings bad luck politically to whichever camp he joins, also holding him responsible for Congress's inability to retain power consecutively under late leader Virbhadra Singh.
