Chandigarh/Ground Bureau — The weather in Haryana has taken a sudden turn with rain and thunderstorms affecting several districts. The meteorological department has issued a yellow alert for nine districts as western disturbances become active. Meanwhile, the state has also secured investment proposals worth 5,500 crore rupees from Singapore following Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's visit.
Farmers are deeply concerned as unharnessed paddy crops in mandis like Yamunanagar and Panchkula got drenched due to unexpected rains. Authorities are rushing to clear the procurement, but ground realities show significant challenges. On the industrial front, the massive investments from Singapore are expected to transform urban development and manufacturing hubs from Gurugram to Panipat, boosting the state's economic landscape.
