Chandigarh/Ground Bureau — Haryana is currently witnessing major shifts on both weather and economic fronts simultaneously. While the activation of a western disturbance has brought sudden rainfall to several districts, international ties have brought massive economic momentum. According to the meteorological department, a yellow alert for rain has been issued in about nine districts, raising serious concerns for farmers whose harvested crops are lying in open mandis.
From Panchkula to Yamunanagar and Panipat, weather patterns have turned erratic. Hailstorms were reported in parts of Panchkula, while unseasonal rain soaked paddy in Yamunanagar grain markets. Meteorologists state this change is due to an active western disturbance, which will soon usher in a mild winter across the state as temperatures drop significantly over the coming days.
