Born on September 21, 1980, to Randhir Kapoor and Babita, Kareena was affectionately named 'Siddima' by her legendary grandfather, Raj Kapoor. Kareena even started shooting for the project. However, creative differences soon cropped up between Babita and Rakesh Roshan regarding the script and the focus on the actress's role.
Babita felt that the film heavily favored Hrithik, leaving very little room for Kareena to shine. Consequently, Kareena walked out of the project, paving the way for Ameesha Patel.
