Pune Police Files Massive 5,053-Page Chargesheet in Ketan Agarwal Murder Case
In a chilling case that has shaken Maharashtra, the Pune Rural Police have submitted a comprehensive 5,053-page chargesheet in a local court regarding the murder of 26-year-old businessman Ketan Agarwal. The detailed document outlines the meticulous planning, conspiracy, and execution of the murder that took place at the historic Lohagad Fort.
Ketan Agarwal was allegedly pushed off the fort on June 18, leading to his tragic death. Police arrested his fiancee, Siya Goyal, her alleged lover Chetan Choudhary, and an accomplice named Ritesh Hange. The couple had got engaged in February, and a grand wedding was planned in Jaipur for November.
The Shift from Hiring Contract Killers to Executing it Themselves
According to the chargesheet, the accused initially discussed hiring external contract killers from outside Maharashtra to eliminate Ketan. However, they later dropped the idea fearing that an outsider might leak the conspiracy or blackmail them in the future. The person initially approached for this has now turned into a key witness for the prosecution.
Use of ChatGPT and Crime Movies to Evade Law Enforcement
Investigators revealed that Siya and Chetan watched crime thrillers, studied podcasts on evading police, and even utilized ChatGPT to learn how to commit a murder without leaving digital or physical evidence. They also researched the sensational Raja Raguvanshi murder case from Meghalaya to understand how to manipulate investigation agencies.
Choosing Lohagad Fort to Make it Look Like an Accident
The accused conducted recce at multiple locations, including Tiger Point, before finalizing Lohagad Fort. They deliberately chose the fort because a female tourist had accidentally fallen to her death there the previous March, believing they could pass Ketan's murder off as a tragic selfie accident.
Fake Instagram Profile and Final Execution
To lure Ketan to the fort, a fake Instagram profile under the name 'Mahi' was created using a female acquaintance's photo. On June 18, under the pretext of a surprise birthday setup for Siya, Ketan was called to the location. Siya pushed him from behind, and Chetan kicked him down the precipice.
