Union Minister Ramdas Athawale has made a significant political statement, claiming that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will comfortably secure victory in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to reporters during his visit to Dharashiv in Maharashtra to review drought conditions, Athawale expressed absolute confidence in the current central government's stability and popularity.
Elaborating on his political stance, Athawale stated that Prime Minister Modi acts as the captain of the NDA ship, while he considers himself a dedicated player in the team. He dismissed any possibility of a change in governance come 2029, emphasizing that the public remains firmly supportive of the ruling coalition's developmental agenda.
In a strategic political move, the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment also extended an open invitation to Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke to join the Republican Party of India (A). Athawale remarked that if Dipke genuinely considers himself an Ambedkarite, he should join RPI(A) to work towards strengthening the party and mobilizing the youth under the ideologies of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
Meanwhile, Abhijit Dipke's recent detention and subsequent conditional bail have kept him in the headlines. Dipke was taken into custody by Delhi Police ahead of a proposed Tiranga march in Connaught Place for allegedly violating a previously signed peace bond. Following his production before an executive magistrate, he was released on certain conditions. This latest political development has sparked widespread discussions across different political circles as smaller outfits evaluate their alliances ahead of future electoral battles.
