A large part of Bihar is currently grappling with devastating floods, while several other districts are facing severe drought conditions due to deficient rainfall. According to Tejashwi Yadav, over 4.5 million people are directly affected by the floods. Standing crops have been destroyed, leaving farmers in deep financial distress and threatening their livelihoods.

He argued that while poor families and farmers struggle for survival amidst natural calamities, spending such massive amounts on festivities reflects severe administrative insensitivity.

Additionally, he met 12-year-old Prince Kumar, who was allegedly assaulted while recording a video at a recent public event, further cornering the administration on safety and freedom of speech.
