TVS Records Strong Growth in Domestic Market
The Indian two-wheeler market continues to show resilient growth, with major manufacturers posting impressive numbers. TVS Motor Company had a phenomenal month in August 2026, registering a total domestic sales volume of 4,33,796 vehicles.
Comparing this with the figures from the previous year, when the company sold 3,68,862 units in August, the year-on-year growth stands at a remarkable 17.6 percent, translating to an additional 64,934 units on Indian roads.
Family Scooter Leads the Charge
Among all products, the TVS Jupiter remains the undisputed champion for the company, contributing significantly to its overall sales volume. In August 2026, the company retailed 1,47,450 units of the Jupiter scooter, compared to 1,42,411 units sold in the same month last year.
This represents a steady year-on-year growth of 3.54 percent for the scooter. The Jupiter alone accounts for nearly 33.99 percent of the total sales recorded by TVS during the month, highlighting its deep penetration into family households.
Affordable Pricing and Variant Options
Priced competitively with an initial ex-showroom tag starting around 74,125 rupees, the scooter caters directly to budget-conscious middle-class buyers. It is available in multiple variants, allowing customers to choose features that fit their daily commuting needs.
Under the hood, the scooter offers two versatile engine options—110cc and 125cc—providing a balance of power and fuel efficiency. Practical features such as a spacious under-seat boot and smartphone connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation make it a modern choice for daily commuters.
