[Video] Stray dog attacks biker on street leading to sudden road accident

New Delhi: A harrowing video capturing a stray dog aggressively attacking a moving biker has gone viral on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Shared widely via the handle @gharkekalesh, the clip has reignited serious debates surrounding the growing menace of stray animals on urban and semi-urban streets.

In the video, a motorist can be seen riding peacefully down a road when a stray dog suddenly lunges at the vehicle. The unexpected attack startles the rider, causing an immediate loss of balance and resulting in a hazardous situation. Such incidents pose severe threats not only to motorists but also to pedestrians.

Background and Ground Realities:
This is not an isolated incident. Recent reports from various regions, including Kushinagar and Bhatni, highlight a sharp rise in stray animal aggression, leading to severe accidents and individuals requiring urgent rabies vaccinations. The gravity of the situation has even prompted young innovators—such as a school student from Chhindwara—to develop anti-dog safety devices for two-wheelers.

Public Reaction:
The viral video has drawn sharp reactions from netizens, with many criticizing municipal authorities for lax animal control measures. Citizens are increasingly demanding structured policies to ensure public safety without ignoring animal welfare concerns.
