Taking swift action, forest department and wildlife authorities have arrested the gypsy driver involved in the incident. The video was originally shared by senior Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Susanta Nanda, which subsequently went viral across administrative circles and the internet.
In the viral video, a tourist vehicle (gypsy) is allegedly seen being driven in a sensitive wildlife zone in blatant disregard of established rules. Such actions not only disturb the natural habitat of wild animals but also pose a severe threat to their safety. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, forest officials took immediate cognizance of the video, identified the vehicle, and initiated legal action against the driver under the relevant provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act.
Following the emergence of the incident, social media users expressed strong reactions. Numerous environmentalists and wildlife conservationists condemned the driver's irresponsibile behavior, demanding stricter surveillance and security measures in tourist zones. Users emphasized that tourists and vehicle operators must strictly adhere to regulations during jungle safaris to ensure the safety and well-being of wildlife.
Meanwhile, sources from the forest department have clarified that no leniency will be shown toward violators of laws within wildlife sanctuaries or protected areas. The department has issued a stern warning that strict legal actions will continue against anyone flouting conservation norms.
