A New Era of Maxi-Scooters in India
The demand for scooters in the Indian two-wheeler market has always been on the upward trajectory. While traditional models have long dominated the commuting space, modern riders increasingly look for enhanced comfort, superior performance, and stylish aesthetics. Acknowledging this shifting preference, renowned manufacturer Aprilia has officially introduced its latest maxi-scooter lineup to the Indian roads.
Christened as the Aprilia SXR GT series, this fresh offering is designed with urban-touring ergonomics and bold graphics. It caters specifically to riders who want the agility required for navigating dense city traffic combined with the relaxed cruising capabilities necessary for weekend getaways. Its commanding road presence sets it distinctly apart from conventional commuter scooters.
Dual Engine Options Delivering Impressive Performance
The standout feature of the new Aprilia SXR GT range is the availability of two distinct powertrain choices—125cc and 175cc hp-e engines. Both engines have been engineered to deliver robust pickup and refined performance, making daily commutes effortless while ensuring smooth highway cruising.
The more powerful Aprilia SXR GT 175 houses a 174.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with a 3V head, pumping out 13.08bhp of power and 14.14nm of torque. Meanwhile, the SXR GT 125 is powered by a 124.5cc air-cooled engine generating 10.46bhp and 10.4nm of torque. For enhanced safety, the 175 variant comes equipped with a single-channel ABS system.
