UP Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana 2026: Get Up To Rs 11.80 Lakh Subsidy For 10 Cow Dairy Farm

Boosting Rural Economy Through Modern Dairy Farming

Relying solely on traditional agriculture is often not enough for rural farmers to achieve long-term financial stability. To counter this, animal husbandry and dairy farming have emerged as lucrative alternatives for generating daily income. Recognizing this trend, the Uttar Pradesh government has launched the ambitious 'Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana' under the umbrella of the Nand Baba Milk Mission, aiming to encourage farmers to adopt indigenous dairy farming on a commercial scale.

This initiative is designed to remove the financial barriers that usually deter small and marginal farmers from venturing into large-scale dairy production. By promoting indigenous cow breeds, the state aims not only to boost milk yields but also to generate sustainable employment opportunities across rural districts.

Massive Financial Support With 50 Percent Subsidy

The standout feature of the Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana is the substantial government grant provided to beneficiaries. Farmers and livestock owners who wish to set up a dairy unit consisting of 10 indigenous cows can receive financial assistance of up to 50 percent of the total project cost, with the upper limit capped at Rs 11.80 lakh.

This heavy financial cushion significantly reduces the initial burden of setting up infrastructure, purchasing high-yielding indigenous cattle, and managing feed storage. With adequate capital support, beneficiaries can ensure their dairy operations run efficiently and profitably from day one.

Strict Eligibility Criteria and Land Requirements

To ensure that funds reach genuinely dedicated individuals, the government has laid down specific eligibility rules. Applicants must possess at least three years of proven practical experience in cattle rearing or dairy management. Furthermore, individuals who have previously availed benefits under older schemes like the Kamdhenu Yojana or similar state initiatives are ineligible to apply.

Additionally, having proper infrastructure is a mandatory prerequisite. Applicants must have approximately 0.20 acres of land dedicated to housing the cattle, managing waste, and cultivating green fodder to reduce feed expenses over time.

How to Apply and Secure Benefits

Interested farmers must keep essential documents such as their Aadhaar card, PAN card, bank account details, and land records ready before initiating the online application process through the official portal at nandbabadugdhmission.up.gov.in. Selections are generally processed on a first-come, first-served basis, making timely registration crucial for aspiring dairy entrepreneurs.
