Social media star Anjali Arora, popularly known for her viral 'Kacha Badam' dance videos, has finally broken her silence regarding the severe backlash she faced after her first look as Mata Sita was released from the upcoming mythological film 'Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha'. Ever since the trailer came out, a section of internet users has been heavily criticizing her casting, comparing it with previous mythological projects and questioning her suitability for such a revered role.
During the trailer launch event, when asked if she felt disheartened by the hate and negative comments pouring in on social media, Anjali responded with utmost confidence and maturity, stating that public figures are always open to public judgment.
'We are public figures and gave people the right to judge us'
Addressing the media, Anjali clearly stated that she holds no grudges against those who are judging her. She emphasized that actors give their 100 percent to every character they portray, but once the final product is out in front of the public, the audience has complete authority to like or dislike it.

Addressing the constant tags of being a social media influencer famous for dance reels, Anjali explained that everything on the internet is temporary and she merely followed a trend like everyone else at that time. While she expressed gratitude for the fame that brought her into the limelight, she clarified that those viral videos do not define her entire life or career.
'Dancing is my hobby, why should I be ashamed?'
Anjali didn't shy away from addressing the core argument of her critics who claim that someone known for dancing on reels cannot play Mata Sita. She firmly stated that dancing is her hobby, she loves it, and she has absolute zero shame in pursuing it. She pointed out that almost every actor dances and enjoys music, so targeting her for it makes no sense.

Directed with a grand vision, 'Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha' is scheduled to hit the big screens worldwide on September 25. The film features Dev Sharma playing the role of Lord Rama, while Rajniesh Duggall will be seen essaying the character of Lankapati Ravana, alongside Anjali Arora as Mata Sita.
