Following the exit notice served to actor Imran Khan by the FRRO, political and social reactions have intensified. Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has strongly criticized Bollywood for its silence on the matter, questioning whether the film industry would ever stand up for one of its own. Dipke also added a humorous take, suggesting that if Imran wants to avoid deportation, he should simply ask PM Modi how he eats mangoes.
Imran Khan has been facing legal scrutiny after participating in a protest in Mumbai demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Following a complaint by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya regarding OCI cardholder regulations, the FRRO issued a notice asking Khan to leave India by October 28.
Legal Battle Moves To Bombay High Court
Meanwhile, Imran Khan's legal team has decided to challenge the FRRO notice in the Bombay High Court. Petitions are being prepared as the actor seeks legal recourse against the immigration and foreigners act violations cited in the notice.
