New Delhi/Ground Bureau — In a major development concerning international aviation security, Israel and Air France have implemented a strict ban. Pilots and crew members from 31 countries, including Pakistan, are now barred from flying over or landing in Israeli airspace. This decision comes in the wake of growing security concerns and past aviation incidents involving countries lacking diplomatic ties with Israel.
The restriction follows security reviews prompted by recent incidents, including those involving Flydubai. Aviation authorities have raised serious questions regarding the training standards and licensing of pilots from certain nations. Consequently, Israel's civil aviation authority has enforced strict protocols prohibiting pilots from nations without formal diplomatic relations from entering Israeli airspace.
