Following the passing of legendary actor Nana Patekar, several discussions and intense reactions have emerged regarding his personal life and family relationships. While actress Tanushree Dutta recently revived old controversies, Nana's son, Malhar Patekar, has now stepped forward to address these issues. In a detailed interaction, Malhar expressed deep resentment over social media trolling and speculation surrounding his family, while clearing the air about the legal cases, his bond with his father, and the realities of their family life.
Malhar Addresses the Tanushree Dutta Controversy
Without directly taking Tanushree Dutta's name, Malhar addressed the past controversy, stating that the matter being repeatedly brought up had concluded long ago. He emphasized that the court has already clarified its stance on the issue. "Without naming anyone, I just want to say that the case being referred to is long over. The court has made the position clear. Still, people keep talking about it. I have nothing to say to such people. The truth will always remain the truth. God bless them, that is all I would like to say," Malhar remarked.
Truth About Parents' Bond and Social Media Realities
Malhar also answered questions regarding why their family rarely posted pictures on social media. He clarified that just because they didn't upload family photos on Instagram, it didn't mean there was a lack of love between them. He revealed that despite living separately, his parents shared a wonderful relationship spanning 39 years. "Things are not always as they appear. He was never alone, nor was he sick. One of us was always with him. He was extremely active and worked out for two and a half hours daily—something even youngsters struggle to do," Malhar shared.
Remembering the Tragic Day of October 8
Recalling the events of October 8, Malhar became emotional. He explained that his father was in Goa at the time, and a cousin was in Mumbai managing his work for a scheduled shoot with Madhuri Dixit for 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. Nana was a considerate person who did not want to inconvenience anyone. When he felt uneasy, he first sent a message and later called. Family members rushed to him, but it was too late. "I was in Pune at the time. Around 5 AM, I received a call from my mother, and after that, I don't remember much. It felt like the entire world around me had stopped," he said.
