Nana expressed his desire to go to the war zone, mentioning his commando training, shooting skills, and national-level sports background. Although initially told that civilians could not go, his acquaintance with Fernandes allowed him to join immediately after asking to go right away. He subsequently became a member of the Quick Reaction Team.
Losing 20kg During Service
Recalling the intense period, Nana shared that he weighed 76 kg when he went to the war zone and returned weighing just 56 kg. Despite losing significant weight within two months under harsh conditions, he expressed immense joy and satisfaction in having done something meaningful for his country.
