Indian cinema has lost a priceless gem whose void can never be filled. The passing of veteran actor Nana Patekar has sent shockwaves through the film industry and millions of his fans. Known for his stellar performances and unfiltered personality, Nana leaves behind a legacy that will forever remain in our hearts. His sudden departure has left everyone heartbroken, especially his closest peers.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher took to social media to share a deeply touching and emotional video paying tribute to his dear friend and co-star. In the video, Anupam's eyes were filled with tears as he recalled the wonderful moments spent together. He revealed that he received the devastating news right after finishing his stage performance.
'Nana would have wanted me to complete my work'
Sharing his thoughts, Anupam Kher said, "As soon as I went backstage, my director told me that Nana is no more. Meeting people, taking pictures, smiling, and processing what I had just heard was extremely difficult. But somewhere I felt that Nana would have wanted me to finish my work and fulfill my responsibility towards the audience. Knowing him, I can almost hear his voice dismissing the idea of a formal tribute: 'So what? Who died? Everyone dies.'"
Outpouring of Grief from Film Fraternity
Anupam expressed that he would deeply miss his friend's warmth and unmatched performances. Apart from Anupam Kher, celebrities like Rajinikanth, Junior NTR, Akshay Kumar, and Riteish Deshmukh also took to social media to pay their final respects to the legendary actor and human being.
