Tighter Noose Around Untrained Teachers in Bihar
The education department in Bihar has once again tightened its administrative grip on primary and middle school teachers lacking mandatory professional training. Fresh directives have been issued across districts to identify and weed out educators who entered service without fulfilling standard training criteria, setting off widespread concern among teaching circles.
Under the latest guidelines, the sharpest punitive measures are targeted at individuals appointed after March 31, 2015. The state administration maintains that appointments made past this threshold without basic qualifications cannot be regularized. Obtaining a D.El.Ed degree through distance or other modes at a later stage will not absolve them from initial eligibility lapses.
Three-Day Deadline Set in Kaimur District
Administrative machinery in Kaimur has swung into high gear following the state's directive. Block education officers throughout the district have been instructed to thoroughly verify school records and compile comprehensive rolls of untrained personnel currently on the payroll.
Authorities have mandated that these certified lists must reach the district headquarters within three days. District Programme Establishment Officer Shambhu Kumar Singh confirmed that execution will strictly adhere to departmental protocols once documentation is reviewed.
Relief for Teachers Appointed Before March 2015
Even as the crackdown unfolds, teachers who entered the service prior to March 31, 2015, have been shielded from immediate termination. The state has granted them an extension until August 31, 2028, to successfully complete their D.El.Ed qualifications and retain their positions, providing significant relief to seasoned educators.
