The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has released an official notification inviting applications from talented sportspersons across the country under the sports quota recruitment for 2026. A total of 521 vacancies have been announced for the posts of Head Constable (GD) and Constable (GD). This initiative provides a remarkable opportunity for athletes who have represented the nation or states in various sporting disciplines to secure a stable government job while pursuing their passion for sports.
Out of the total 521 vacancies, 182 posts are designated for Head Constables, comprising 150 for male candidates and 32 for female candidates. Similarly, 339 posts are available for Constables, with 258 for males and 81 for females. Educational requirements are kept accessible, requiring 12th pass qualification for Head Constables and 10th pass for Constables from recognized educational boards.
Candidates applying for these posts must fulfill specific sports achievements, such as participation in recognized international events, national championships, Khelo India games, or inter-university tournaments within the specified timeframe. The age limit for applicants is set between 18 to 30 years, with category-based relaxations provided for OBC, SC, ST, and ex-servicemen as per government guidelines.
One of the most notable features of this recruitment drive is that there will be no written examination. The selection process will comprise document verification, physical standard tests, sports trials, and medical examinations. Selected candidates will be placed in attractive pay scales, with Head Constables receiving salaries up to Rs 81,100 and Constables up to Rs 69,100 under the 7th pay commission matrix.
