Fake Rabies Vaccine Racket Uncovered in Delhi Connected to Kanpur, Two Firms Booked

The fake rabies vaccine racket, which recently made headlines following raids in Delhi's wholesale drug market Bhagirath Palace, has now expanded to Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Local drug authorities conducted targeted raids on two prominent medical agencies, 'New RJ' and 'Alexer Cure', leading to the registration of a formal FIR against their proprietors. During the operation, officials seized 592 fake rabies doses from the New RJ warehouse, matching batch numbers found in the Delhi seizure. Drug Safety Officer Divyani Dubey filed a complaint at the Collectorganj police station, prompting authorities to seal the warehouses. Preliminary findings suggest that these counterfeit life-saving vaccines were also distributed to Agra and other districts across the state. Authorities are now interrogating the suspects to track down the primary manufacturing source and ensure public safety.
