In the video, the individual clearly states that the incident happened right in front of his eyes, dismissing claims that Dr. Lahiri merely fell down. He described how physical force was applied to Dr. Lahiri's face. Following this revelation, Prof. Om Shankar has demanded strict action from the BHU administration against those found guilty.
Eyewitness Acccount Raises Serious Questions
The eyewitness in the video elaborated on the sequence of events, stating that the physical altercation caused Dr. Lahiri to fall onto his bed, where people behind him caught him. Despite these clear statements, senior BHU officials, including IMS Director Prof. S.N. Sankhwar and the hospital's Medical Superintendent, have maintained silence and avoided answering phone calls or messages regarding the matter.
Political Intervention and Ongoing Investigation
After the initial complaint was emailed to top officials on September 1st, political leaders including UP Minister Ravindra Jaiswal and Cantt MLA Saurabh Srivastava visited BHU to check on Dr. Lahiri's health. Following strict instructions from Minister Ravindra Jaiswal, an official inquiry into the matter has been underway since September 7th. Public pressure continues to mount for a transparent and rigorous inquiry to deliver justice.
