Gold and Silver Prices Crash in Indian Bullion Market
The first trading day of the week brought massive relief for investors and common buyers as gold and silver prices witnessed a sharp decline across domestic and commodity markets. Prices tumbled heavily right from the opening bell, catching many market watchers by surprise.
Both the Multi Commodity Exchange and local bullion markets recorded heavy selling pressure. Experts attribute this sudden correction to ongoing global economic shifts and fluctuations in international commodity indices.
Silver Bubble Bursts With Massive Drop
Silver took the heaviest hit during Monday's trading session. According to data from the Indian Bullion Jewelers Association, the price of one kilogram of silver plummeted by over nine thousand rupees, wiping out recent gains.
Traders noted that international silver futures dropped significantly, which directly impacted domestic spot prices and brought much-needed relief to industrial and retail buyers.
Gold Loses Shine As Rates Drop Below Previous Closes
Gold prices also experienced a strong downward correction, with 24-karat gold shedding thousands of rupees per ten grams in both spot and futures markets. Market analysts view this correction as a natural readjustment after weeks of bullish trends.
Buyers are advised to keep a close eye on market trends and factor in additional charges like GST and making charges while purchasing jewelry from local stores.
