Major Push for Education Infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh
The government of Himachal Pradesh is taking decisive steps to overhaul the state's education and healthcare sectors. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu recently announced significant measures aimed at strengthening academic institutions and ensuring that quality learning reaches remote and rural areas.
Speaking at a major public gathering in Nogli, Rampur assembly constituency, the Chief Minister highlighted that the state administration has prioritized youth welfare and employment generation. He stated that over 10,000 teachers have successfully been appointed across various categories during the current tenure, and an additional 4,000 teachers will be inducted within the next six months.
Upgrading Rural Schools and Introducing Excellence Centers
To align traditional schooling with modern national standards, the state has established over 150 CBSE-affiliated schools, employing nearly 2,000 educators to facilitate seamless learning. Additionally, around 300 schools under the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education are being transformed into 'Schools of Excellence' equipped with modern facilities.
Experts believe that filling vacant teaching positions in rural areas will significantly curb student migration to urban private institutions, restoring public trust in government-run educational facilities.
