Major Train Disruptions Planned in December Due to Infrastructure Upgrades
Passengers planning to travel by train in the coming days need to take note of important schedule revisions. Indian Railways has intensified infrastructure development and safety maintenance works across various divisions. Due to ongoing non-interlocking works in the Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway, the operation of several express and memu trains will remain suspended temporarily during the month of December.

Train number 18175 Hatia-Jharsuguda MEMU Express will remain cancelled from November 26 to December 15. Similarly, the return service, train number 18176 Jharsuguda-Hatia MEMU Express, will stay suspended from November 27 to December 16, affecting daily commuters heavily.
Long-distance services like train number 17007 Charlapalli-Darbhanga Express will not operate on November 28, and December 5, 8, and 12. Its counterpart, train number 17008 Darbhanga-Charlapalli Express, is cancelled on December 1, 8, 11, and 15. Passengers traveling along these routes must look for alternative transportation arrangements.
Visakhapatnam-Banaras and Amrit Bharat Express Trains Affected
Popular long-distance routes including Visakhapatnam and Varanasi will also face restrictions. Train number 18523 Visakhapatnam-Banaras Express will not run on November 29, and December 6, 9, and 13. Conversely, train number 18524 Banaras-Visakhapatnam Express will remain cancelled on November 30, and December 7, 10, and 14.
Modern Amrit Bharat Express services are also impacted. Train number 16619 Podanur-Dhanbad Amrit Bharat Express is cancelled on November 28, December 5, and December 12. The return service, train number 16620 Dhanbad-Podanur Amrit Bharat Express, will stay cancelled on November 30, December 7, and December 14. Full refunds will be issued to affected passengers as per railway norms.
