During a public service event in Dewas district, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav officially addressed the future expansion of the scheme. He assured the gathering that women who have not yet received the benefits of the Ladli Behna Yojana will be incorporated into the beneficiary list next year, subject to eligibility criteria. This statement has generated widespread discussion across the state.
Highlighting the scale of the initiative, the Chief Minister noted that over Rs 55,000 crores have already been disbursed to women through this welfare program. The Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism ensures absolute transparency, eliminating middlemen and delivering funds securely to the intended recipients.
Focus on Education, Dropout Rates, and Employment
Beyond the welfare scheme, the event also shed light on significant strides in education and employment sectors. The Chief Minister stated that primary school dropout rates in the state, which once stood at 16 percent, have now been successfully reduced to zero through concerted government efforts. The state has allocated a robust school education budget of Rs 38,000 crores to empower young students.
Furthermore, the government has recruited nearly 18,000 personnel into the police department, while the MSME sector has successfully generated employment for approximately 1.2 million people. Officials maintain that Madhya Pradesh currently boasts one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, reinforcing the state's economic progress.
