In today's era, despite acquiring higher education, securing employment remains a major challenge for young people. Due to a lack of practical experience even after obtaining degrees and diplomas, youngsters often struggle to find suitable jobs. To find a practical solution to this problem, the state government has stepped up to prepare youth according to industry standards. The primary goal is to impart ground-level working skills alongside bookish knowledge so that they can easily find better employment in the future.
As part of this effort, the Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited has taken a significant step. The company has announced practical training opportunities for youth in various offices and power plants under the Chief Minister's 'Seekho-कमाओ' (Learn and Earn) scheme. A total of 559 on-the-job training positions have been made available through this program. For youngsters who are wandering in search of jobs after completing their education, this scheme serves as a golden opportunity.
Experts believe that such practical training programs play a crucial role in enhancing the employability of youth. This is precisely why there is immense enthusiasm among youth across the state regarding this scheme.
A Great Opportunity to Learn in Power Generation and Technical Fields
Under the scheme, youth are not restricted to a single domain; rather, doors to training have been opened across various trades and job categories. Selected candidates will get the opportunity to work at various hydro and thermal power plants across the state, in addition to the main office of the power company located in Jabalpur. This will allow them to deeply understand the technical nuances associated with electricity generation.
During the training period, youth will be skilled in important sectors such as Electrician, Information and Communication Technology, System Maintenance, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Stenographer (Hindi and English), Civil Engineering, Human Resources (HR), and Accounts. All these fields currently witness high demand in the industry.
Trainees will learn the operational procedures of respective work domains based on their educational qualifications. This experience will not only strengthen their resumes but also give them an edge over others during future job interviews.
Provision of Financial Assistance and Stipend Along With Training
It is often observed that due to financial constraints, many talented youth hesitate to pursue professional training or internships. Keeping this in mind, the government has made provisions for a lucrative stipend under this scheme. According to the scheme's rules, once the training program commences and completes one month, financial assistance will be disbursed every month according to eligibility guidelines.
Trainees will receive a monthly stipend ranging from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 directly into their bank accounts, depending on their work category and eligibility. This financial support will help youth meet their basic needs, allowing them to complete their training with full dedication and without mental stress.
It is important to note that these positions under the scheme are strictly for training purposes and should not be considered regular jobs or permanent employment under any circumstances. However, the experience and skill set gained through this training will certainly pave the way for a brighter future.
Eligibility Criteria and Who Can Apply?
To avail the benefits of this ambitious scheme, the government has laid down clear guidelines and eligibility criteria. The first and foremost condition is that the applicant must be a native resident of Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, the candidate's age must be between 18 and 29 years. In other words, youth falling within the 18 to 29 age group are eligible.
Regarding educational qualifications, requirements are set according to different trades. Candidates who have passed the 12th grade, hold ITI diplomas, or possess graduation degrees in various subjects are eligible to apply. Appropriate opportunities have been ensured for both technical and non-technical youth so that no deserving candidate is left behind.

Complete Online Application Process and Deadline
Youth who wish to take advantage of this scheme must complete their application process within the specified timeframe. The entire application process is conducted online to prevent any inconvenience. Interested candidates must register on the official portal of the scheme.
To complete the registration process, applicants must possess a Samagra ID and Aadhaar card, along with completing Aadhaar e-KYC. The last date to submit applications is October 15. Candidates can submit their online forms until 11:59 PM on October 15, after which no applications will be entertained.
If any applicant faces technical difficulties while filling out the form, they can reach out to their nearest district-level ITI institute, where officials and staff will assist them in successfully submitting their forms.
