A Bold Statement Shaking Political Circles
Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane has once again ignited a political debate with his outspoken remarks on the Lok Sabha election results and party strategies. During an informal interaction with journalists, Rane openly discussed the outcomes and dismissed the opposition's ongoing allegations regarding electoral manipulation.
Elaborating on his point, Rane asserted that if the Bharatiya Janata Party truly relied on election management or political engineering, the opposition would not have even crossed the 200-seat mark. He boldly stated that if the party had managed the elections, the seat tally would have directly crossed 400 instead of stopping at 240. This sharp statement has drawn significant attention from political analysts.
Targeting the Opposition Over Voter List Revision
Addressing the ongoing controversy surrounding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists, which has drawn criticism from leaders like Asaduddin Owaisi, Rane firmly stated that the right to vote and choose the government in India should strictly belong to Indian citizens alone. He questioned why transparent procedures aimed at removing ineligible names from electoral rolls are being labeled as a conspiracy.
Rane accused the opposition of compromising national security for electoral gains, claiming that unregistered immigrants, including Rohingyas and Bangladeshists, cast votes in the previous Lok Sabha elections. He alleged that whenever efforts are made to cleanse the voter lists, opposition parties vehemently oppose it for vote-bank politics.
Questioning Opposition Rhetoric and EC Criticism
Launching a direct attack on the Congress party, Owaisi, and the Thackeray brothers, Rane alleged that their statements align closely with the rhetoric coming from Pakistan. He criticized them for questioning the Election Commission's integrity only when the BJP wins, while remaining silent when they themselves secure electoral victories.
Concluding his remarks, Rane praised the Delhi High Court's recent ruling regarding the POCSO Act, calling it a crucial step toward ensuring the safety and bright future of young girls in the country.
