New Delhi/Chandigarh — The Central Bureau of Investigation has intensified its actions following crucial directives from courts across India. The Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered a CBI probe into corruption allegations against close aides of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, leading to a political slugfest in the state.
Meanwhile, the CBI has summoned Punjab CM's OSD Rajveer Ghumman for questioning. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal strongly condemned the move, calling it a result of BJP's frustration. In a separate development, the Allahabad High Court also directed the CBI to trace a woman missing for over two years.
