Randeep Hooda's Take on India's Freedom Struggle
While speaking on the red carpet in Gujarat, Hooda shared his perspective on how history is perceived by the common public. He stated that a widespread misconception exists in the country that India achieved independence solely through non-violent methods. However, he stressed that the armed revolution played an equally critical and defining role in liberating the nation.
Hooda noted that several iconic freedom fighters, from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to Veer Savarkar, were deeply associated with this armed struggle. Through his film, he aimed to reintroduce this overlooked chapter of history to the younger generation, ensuring that the sacrifices made by armed revolutionaries receive proper recognition.
Calling Savarkar an Influencer of the Revolutionary Era
Describing Savarkar's ideological impact, Hooda referred to him as a major influencer of the revolutionary movement of that era. He clarified that the movie was not made to spark political controversy, but rather to bring forth historical truths that remain less discussed in mainstream narratives.

Elaborate arrangements, including a massive German aluminum structural dome accommodating over 1,000 guests, have been put in place under the supervision of local administrative authorities to ensure a grand and seamless event.
Alongside Hooda's win, the awards ceremony honors several other remarkable cinematic works. 'Article 370' has been named the Best Feature Film, with Yami Gautam winning Best Actress.
