A major tragedy was averted at a busy railway station when an alert RPF constable swiftly rescued a man and his young daughter who lost their balance while attempting to board a moving train. The heart-stopping moment has now gone viral on social media, drawing widespread praise for the security personnel's quick thinking.
How the Incident Unfolded
According to reports, the incident took place during the evening rush hours. A father, accompanied by his little daughter, tried to board a moving train in a hurry. In the process, his balance gave way, and both slipped perilously close to the gap between the train and the platform. Seconds felt like hours as onlookers watched in sheer horror.
Prompt Action by RPF Personnel and Loco Pilot
Displaying extraordinary courage and presence of mind, RPF woman constable Reena Kumari rushed to the spot without a second's delay. She lunged forward and pulled both the father and child away from the tracks onto the safe platform area. Concurrently, the attentive loco pilot applied emergency brakes, bringing the train to a halt and ensuring absolute safety.
A Serious Reminder About Rail Safety
This hair-raising incident once again underscores the grave dangers of boarding or deboarding moving trains. Netizens have flooded social media with commendations for the heroic act of the RPF jawan, while authorities continue to urge passengers to prioritize safety over haste.
