Sachin Tendulkar's Masterstroke Investment Delivers Massive Wealth
Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has once again made headlines, not for his exploits on the cricket pitch, but for his exceptional financial acumen in the stock market. His early investment in Hyderabad-based precision manufacturing firm Azad Engineering Limited has skyrocketed, turning a modest investment into a massive fortune and capturing the attention of market analysts and retail investors alike.
Back on March 6, 2023, Tendulkar invested approximately Rs 5 crore in pre-IPO shares of Azad Engineering at an average price of Rs 114.10 per share. Driven by stellar financial growth and impressive stock market performance, his investment has now multiplied manifold, soaring to an estimated valuation between Rs 120 crore and Rs 130 crore.
ICICI Securities Issues Massive Target Price of Rs 3200
In light of the company's remarkable growth trajectory, domestic brokerage firm ICICI Securities has maintained its 'BUY' rating on Azad Engineering, significantly upgrading its target price from Rs 1,900 to Rs 3,200. The brokerage believes that the company's expanding manufacturing capabilities and robust order book will continue to deliver strong value to shareholders in the coming years.
The brokerage has rolled forward its valuation to FY29, setting a target multiple of 55x the estimated FY29 earnings per share (EPS). Market experts suggest that strong earnings visibility and deep integration with global energy giants make this stock a compelling long-term bet.
Expansion and Global Partnerships Fuel Growth
Azad Engineering recently inaugurated two specialized lean manufacturing units at its Center of Excellence and Innovation Center in Hyderabad for GE Vernova's gas power business. Spanning 15,200 square meters, these new facilities represent the company's largest capacity expansion to date, further strengthening its global supply chain positioning.
