Sargodha is considered one of the most critical airbases for the Pakistan Air Force. Located just 15 kilometers from Kirana Hills—an area historically linked to Pakistan's nuclear program—it serves as the headquarters for the Central Air Command. Frontline fighter squadrons including F-16s, JF-17s, and Mirages are stationed here, making any disruption to its infrastructure a major strategic blow to Islamabad.
